By accessing and using RoastMyDay ("the App"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

RoastMyDay is an AI-powered productivity application that:

  • Records your daily voice descriptions
  • Transcribes speech using AI technology
  • Generates humorous, motivational feedback ("roasts")
  • Provides text-to-speech audio responses
  • Tracks your daily productivity streaks
  • Offers statistics and insights about your performance

3. User Accounts

Account Registration:

  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the App
  • One account per user is permitted

Account Security:

  • Keep your password confidential
  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
  • You are responsible for all activities under your account

4. Free Trial and Subscriptions

Free Trial:

  • New users receive a 7-day free trial
  • Trial includes 3 roast sessions
  • No credit card required for trial
  • Trial automatically expires after 7 days or 3 roasts (whichever comes first)

Subscriptions:

  • Monthly Plan: $4.99/month
  • Annual Plan: $44.99/year (Save 25%)
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
  • Cancel anytime through your app store account
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds for partial periods

Billing:

  • You will be charged through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account
  • Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
  • Subscriptions renew 24 hours before the period ends

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the App for illegal purposes
  • Share inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
  • Attempt to abuse, manipulate, or exploit the trial system
  • Use automated systems to access the App
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the App
  • Share your account with others
  • Upload malicious code or content
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Intellectual Property

App Ownership:

  • RoastMyDay and all related content are owned by us
  • The App is licensed to you, not sold
  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App

Your Content:

  • You retain ownership of your voice recordings and descriptions
  • You grant us a license to process your content using AI services
  • AI-generated roasts are provided for your personal use
  • You may share roasts on social media, but they remain your responsibility

7. AI-Generated Content

Understanding AI Roasts:

  • Roasts are generated using artificial intelligence
  • Content is meant to be humorous and motivational
  • Roasts may contain mild sarcasm or playful criticism
  • AI responses are not professional advice
  • Content is processed through OpenAI services

Content Moderation:

  • We use AI moderation to prevent inappropriate content
  • We reserve the right to review and remove content
  • Violations may result in account suspension

8. Privacy and Data

Data Collection:

  • Voice recordings are temporarily stored for processing
  • Audio files are automatically deleted after 30 days
  • Roast text and scores are saved to your account
  • We collect usage analytics to improve the service

Third-Party Services:

  • OpenAI API processes your voice and generates roasts
  • Firebase stores your account and roast data
  • RevenueCat manages subscriptions

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Accuracy of AI-generated content
  • Compatibility with all devices
  • Achievement of any specific results

AI-generated roasts are for entertainment and motivation purposes only. They are not professional advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the last 12 months
  • We are not responsible for data loss, device damage, or business interruption
  • You use the App at your own risk

11. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these Terms of Service
  • You abuse the trial or subscription system
  • You engage in fraudulent activity
  • Required by law

You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion:

  • All your data will be permanently removed
  • Active subscriptions will be cancelled
  • No refunds will be provided

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through:

  • Email to your registered address

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law
